Salt Lakes

The pink salt lakes of Torrevieja, known as Las Salinas, are one of the most spectacular places to visit on the Costa Blanca, presenting a feeling of calmness with the unique natural beauty it holds. Santa Barbara Castle

This historical castle is located on Mount Benacantil in Alicante overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The entire bay of Alicante is clearly visible and boasts some spectacular panoramic views. The Museum of the City of Alicante is located in the Castle of Santa Barbara and offers a journey through the history of the city. Here you will find archaeological discoveries found in various historical eras from different archaeological sites around Alicante.

El Palmeral

A mini oasis in Alicante with stunning views of the Mediterranean sea. El Palmeral, as the name suggests, is a park full of different palm trees. As you walk along the gravel paths, over wooden bridges, pass beautiful flower beds and rare palms, you will feel a sense of pure relaxation. The park has a spectacular waterfall, lakes, adventure play aeras for children, and plenty of shaded seating spots, ideal for a picnic.

Municipal Park

The famous palm groves are the most characteristic spectacle of Elche also well known as the Mediterranean Oasis. They surround the city with a wash of vibrant green tropic, covering two miles long. The Elche Municipal Park is home to many varieties of palms and plant species, alongside waterfalls, fountains and duck ponds. The park has a large adventure playground for children, making it an ideal day out for families, and a relaxing picnic spot.

Tourist Train

Enjoy a fascinating tour of Elche city centre aboard the tourist train. Sit back, relax, and admire the most emblematic sights, including the delightful Municipal Park and the historical Palm Grove. There is a stop at the Palm Museum where you can learn about the history and culture of this magnificent oasis. GUARDAMAR

Reina Sofia Park

A beautiful park situated in the heart of Guardamar del Segura on the Costa Blanca, just a few meters from a golden sandy beach. Set amongst nature with a tranquil ambience, the park has shaded picnic areas, meandering pathways, lakes, waterfalls, and a large adventure playground for the children. From here you can watch the ducks and swans swimming in the pond and admire the peacocks and squirrels walking freely around the park.

Canelobre Caves

The Canelobre Caves, known in Spanish as the Cuevas del Canelobre, are one of the hidden treasures of the Costa Blanca. These spectacular caves are located in the village of Busot in the Alicante Province. As you enter the 70 meter high main cave, one of the tallest in Spain, you will be amazed by the striking formations, colourful lighting effects, incredible acoustics and the pleasant temperature of 18 degrees all year round.

ALICANTE

Algar Waterfalls

A picturesque nature reserve with a spectacular landscape featuring waterfalls, crystal clear pools, lush greenery and picnic spots. A visit to the Fonts D’Algar consists of a 1.5km walkway meandering along the Algar River, where you can stop and rest at viewpoints or take a refreshing swim in the natural springs. Located near Benidorm, this is a great place for a day out, and a popular sightsseing spot for tourists visiting the Costa Blanca.

Guadalest

This is one of the most beautiful towns to visit in the Alicante Province and has been declared a site of cultural interest. Just a 30 minute drive inland from Benidorm on the Costa Blanca, this enchating town is full of history and natural beauty. A visit to the hilltop castle boasts spectacular views of the reservoir, while the old town has quaint cobbled streets, craft shops, restaurants, and fascinating museums.

ROJALES

Rodeo Caves

Known to locals as the Cuevas del Rodeo, and tucked away in the town of Rojales, you will find a set of caves excavated from the mountain by Murcian miners. Creating a true underground urban plot, the caves became the home of generations until the beginning of the 20th century. Today, they are a tourist attraction and a fascinating place to visit, having been transformed into studios, art galleries and workshops by local artists and craftsmen.

TORREVIEJA

Water Mill Park

This delightful park known as Parque del Molino del Agua is situated in La Mata, Torrevieja. It gets its name from the original water mill that was used years ago for grinding salt in the area. The park is beautifully laid out with paved pathways running alongside a long water cascade which leads to the beach. There are spectacular sea views along the way, and seating areas under the trees to take rest or enjoy a picnic.

BENIDOLEIG

Cave of the Skulls

The Cueva de las Calaveras which translates to Cave of the Skulls is a spectacular cave in Benidoleig, situated inland on the Costa Blanca. It is more than 900 meters in length, and owes its name to the fact that in a caving expedition carried out in the 17th century, the remains of twelve people were found inside! During your tour of the cave, you will see magnificent rock formations, stalagmites, fossils, and beautiful domes over 20m tall.

PEDREGUER

Albarda Gardens

A beautifiul botanical garden located in Pedreguer, Alicante, displaying a great diversity of flora and indigenous plants There is a formal garden and a wild garden; recreating the image of the old Valencian Renaissance gardens which are influenced by Arab culture. Here you can observe pretty pathways, traditional pergolas, and fountains of great beauty, that will transport your imagination to past times.

ROJALES

Shell House

A unique and awe-inspiring place that will dazzle you with the 700,000 shells adorning its walls. Located in the pretty village of Rojales next to the famous Rodeo Caves, this enchanting house is full of small details that make its character so special. For almost 20 years, the owner collected various types of shells during his walks along the beaches of the Costa Blanca, placing them on the facade and terraces of his house to decorate the home. 

ALICANTE

Onil Maze

Located in Onil, just north of Alicante, you will find one of the largest mazes in Spain, surrounded by an enchanted garden. This hidden gem on the Costa Blanca is a beautiful, natural space where you can walk amongst native flora species, listen to the calming sounds from the water features, and relax in the peaceful ambience. This tourist attraction makes a perfect day out for families with children.

Pantano de Elche

The Elche dam known as the Pantano de Elche was built in the 17th century on the Vinalopó River as a means of retaining its waters. It was the first dam to be built in Europe in the shape of a vault, and is even considered to be the first arch shaped dam built since Roman times. Today it is a popular trekking route on the Costa Blanca, as the ambience is tranquil and picturesque with waterfalls, lakes, wooden bridges, local wildlife, and picnic spots.

ELCHE

El Hondo Natural Park

This protected nature reserve is located on the border of Elche and Crevillente where two rivers channel together to form a great natural lagoon. The landscape is dominated by reeds, ponds and wildlife such as different species of birds, ducks and flamingos. There are various walkways, bird watching huts and picnic benches along the way, giving you the chance to discover as much of the park at your own pace.

RELLEU

Relleu Footbridge

The spectacular views from the Relleu Footbridge allows you to experience magnificent rock formations and takes you on an unforgettable journey over the bed of a huge ravine. The footbridge is made up of wooden planks cantilevered over the wall of a canyon. It has a route of approximately 850 meters with a daring glass floor viewpoint at the end. Relleu and its 17th century reservoir, is one of the best kept treasures of the Costa Blanca.

ALICANTE

Santa Pola Natural Park

A protected nature reserve with marshland, salt mines, freshwater pools, bird watching observation points, sand dunes and a beach. The park is well known for its native flamingos and 16th-century landmark watchtower.  The Salt Museum, situated within the park, is where you can discover the process of extracting salt and its history, and enjoy a special observation point to view the pink flamingos in the salt lakes.

ALICANTE

Els Arcs

In the province of Alicante, nestled in a picturesque natural environment, there is a spectacular natural formation that is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain. Known as Els Arcs de Castell de Castells, they are two giant natural stone arches of limestone rock that have been the product of erosion for thousands of years. This breathtaking circular route takes about two hours and includes scenic views, gravel pathways and steep climbs.

CALPE

Peñon de Ifach

The Peñón de Ifach of Caple is a tall limestone rock that rises 332m above the sea. Connected to the mainland by a narrow strip, it is the result of a landslide of the nearby Sierra de Oltà, and is one of the most unique and beautiful landmarks on the Costa Blanca. An intrepid hike well worth the effort as you experience spectacular panoramic views from the top, which on clear days can reach as far as the island of Ibiza.

ALTEA

Mascarat Canyon

Known to be one of the most impressive sights on the Costa Blanca, the Mascarat Canyon is well worth discovering. With a length of just over 2km, this amazing walking route takes you through various wonderful places, among which are the impressive Mascarat Straits and the stunning viewpoint of the Morro de Toix cliffs. Located between the towns of Altea and Calpe, this hiking trail is signposted, and has information panels to guide you.

PEGO

Caves of Rull

Tucked away in the picturesque area of La Vall d’Ebo, close to Pego, you will be amazed to find the Caves of Rull. They were discovered in 1919 by José Vicente Mengual during a hunting trip. By the mid-1960s the cave was adapted for visitors and its facilities were renovated again in 1995 when a more educational and safe tour was created. Highlights include observing the various stalagmites, stalactites, and columns.
