The largest Pump Track in the world is being built in Torrevieja
The works taking place in the pump park of La Siesta are beginning to show their first results. The track will occupy no less than 4,200 square meters, and as the City Council states, will make it the largest in the world. The final surface of the track will be divided into three levels: specialist/advanced, intermediate and children's level. The route will occupy 300 meters for the advanced track, 180 meters for the intermediate track and 60 meters for the children's track. In addition, once the asphalting of the track is finished, it will be painted with different colors to differentiate the levels. Yesterday, some fans of BMX bicycles put the revamped venue to the test, whose opening is scheduled for the second half of May. The total area is 44,000 square meters to which an investment of 4.2 million euros has been allocated and will generate a large multi-sport area for the enjoyment of citizens. In addition to the pump track, there will also be an area for dogs, petanque, skating circuits, children's play area, hockey, football and basketball courts, as well as three paddle tennis court.
